CGR Systems, LLC
Is a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Technologies. Western Technologies is a multi-national company specializing in the design and supply of hot dip galvanizing plants throughout the world. CGR Systems designs and supplies systems for automatically and continuously galvanizing steel reinforcing bars and profiles such as bar, flat and angle.
The galvanizing lines are fully automatic starting from the automatic shake-out rack through to post-galvanizing bundling rack. The system is currently capable processing 25 Tons per hour, with future designs increasing capacity.

CGR Systems Process
1. Load
Load black uncoated rebar on to the CGR machine.
2. Blast
Used to descale the rebar prior to galvanizing.
3. Preheat
Preheating the surface of the rebar cuts galvanizing time from minutes down to seconds.
4. Galvanize
The bar moves through the system. A pump keeps the zinc level above the submerged bar. Excess zinc flows through the hole with the rebar and back into the bath. Before release, the coated bar passes through an air knife which is used to control the coating weight.
5. Quench/Passivate
Rebar passes through a cooling bath and then passivation.
6. Bundling
The finished galvanized rebar is bundled and prepared for the customer.
